Im Obsessed With: Scarf Edition

I own 37 scarves, how bout you? 

To know me is to know my love for scarves. I have over the years cultivated a strong admiration for soft yards of material wrapped around my neck. Since I wear a scarf every day without fail I am constantly asked why the obsession? The love affair began at the tender age of 17 when I received my cashmere and wool Burberry classic check scarf, a Christmas gift from my father and undoubtedly the most expensive item I owned at that age. I wore that scarf everywhere, even bringing it back to its homeland England for a tour of London and Wales. 

Living in the UK only further sparked my interest, I discovered much to my delight that everyone and their mothers, mother wore a scarf ;daily, rain or shine, flood or heat wave. No matter the weather or the occasion Brits love their scarves. I had wandered around Cardiff for several days upon my arrival wondering why, and I eventually just figured it was a love of accessories. I mean you can buy any accessory in the UK for super cheap at one of the many cool department stores, so why not stock-pile them? I believe  a good scarf is not only warm and functional but it can tie your whole outfit together.

1. The famous Burberry gifted to me from my darling dad. Beige, black, red and white go with EVERYTHING!

2. Missioni colourful knit scarf, this one is so light weight its perfect for summer days, and I got it on sale, and you know how I feel about sales (It was practically free!) 

3. McQueen purple scull silk scarf...need I say more? 

4. Love Moschino silk scarf. I picked this up in Dubai, the memory of that trip makes it special enough. I rarely wear it because its such thin silk I'm afraid it will get ruined out in the cold cruel world.
