A guide to the best nail colors for the holidays

The holidays are right around the corner and while you probably have your Office Party and Christmas Day outfits planned out you may not have thought about your nails. Shame on you. Nothing much fits me these days (I'm 39 weeks pregnant), so I figured I could play up the festive spirit via my manicure. 

Naturally the first idea that came to mind was bright, festive red! Red is perfectly acceptable, but have you ever thought about what other shades would be holiday appropriate? There are actually tons of options. Greys, glitter and gold and green all play up the mood of the season. And I have spelled out my favorites below, with suggestions on exactly which polish to grab.
